Piper is one heckuva great ambassador for not only Bulldogs, but for the dog and human bond. Piper’s mom, Jessica, is dedicated to supporting not only her special needs dogs, but all Bulldogs in need.

Recently Piper was diagnosed with some health challenges and has a tough road ahead of her. Why don’t you amble over to Piper’s site and check out her artwork and other items for sale. Of course, a chunk of the proceeds go to a variety of rescue groups.

And by the way, Piper Stone has her OWN NOSE BUTTER® – check it out and let Piper know you found her here. Below is a fun synopsis of Piper’s background and some of the fun stuff she has going on.

PIPER (a.K.a. CHUNKY MONKEY & MARSHMALLOW) Piper Stone the one-eyed, special needs rescue dog will entertain you with her art, big personality, humorous photos, and ideas about life! She took 8 years of being mistreated and unwanted and blossomed into an internationally collected artist who warms hearts and puts smiles on faces through her artwork and daily Facebook photos. You may never meet another dog with as many faces as Piper the adorably grumpy diva!

Piper was named one of the fifteen most influential dogs of 2012 by MSN. She has appeared on worldwide television through Texas Country Reporter with Bob Phillips and KXAN News with Jim Swift. Piper is featured on Yahoo, The Dogington Post, Dogster, Life With Dogs, and Mother Nature Network and in LIFE+DOG Magazine and American Dog Magazine for being a dog with a job and cause..

WHY PIPER STARTED PAINTING: Piper is somewhat handicapped (handicapable) because of a limp, terrible hip dysplasia and arthritis. She can barely walk a block. The only thing she runs for is food. After six weeks of Piper excitedly waddling into the studio every time I painted, I realized something fantastic was happening in her eyes and wondered if she had a desire to paint. All I had to do was shake up a can of paint, rustle paper or clang palette knives and she appeared. One day, I put a paintbrush in Piper’s mouth and held out a piece of paper. Her first attempt and painting “Introduction” was a success! Piper didn’t run away with the brush or splatter paint everywhere. She stayed in one place and worked her magic. Piper’s technique is very basic and seems instinctual. Maybe Piper is mimicking me? I don’t know what drives her. All I know is that she truly enjoys painting and it’s a great way for us to bond. – Jessica

For dogs with a fear of thunderstorms, spring and summer and the infamous 4th of July fireworks can be super scary events. Fear can range from a bit of nervousness and unease to sheer “tearing at the walls, yelping and peeing everywhere” panic.
