Yes, you read that right. We are giddy over being featured in the Wit & Wisdom section of Nordstrom. Not only are NOSE BUTTER and RELAX available on line via NORDSTROM website, but also in 55 stores. (I will have the complete list of stores tomorrow). This came about in a completely unexpected way. A year or so ago ETSY began a wholesale program and I immediately applied. To my delight, The Blissful Dog was accepted and I jumped right in and set up the wholesale line sheets. Those of you who know me know that I agonized over each and every image, but I got it done – whew! One day, a few months later, an email appeared and lo and behold, NORDSTROM was interested in adding a couple of our products to their Wit & Wisdom section in conjunction with their ETSY artisan program.
After doing the “OMG” happy dance (erase that mental picture, I know, sorry), of course I called my Mom first. You know, it does not matter how old you are, some things you just have to share with your mom first. I am not an overly superstitious person, but I decided to keep this info to myself until the products were actually in the store. I have all the confidence in the world, as you know, in the products…not so much in my ability to get all the myriad of shipping details handled perfectly. Luckily, everything made it out of the big woods and to the various Distribution Centers without a hitch. The hitches I did have we 100% self-created, of course! Hahaha.
The team at NORDSTROM buying offices were delightful to work with. Everyone I dealt with was kind, patient, enthusiastic about sharing hand-made products with their customers and FUN to get to know. Thank you, Tanner M., Stephanie B., Quyen P., Jim V., and the ETSY support team, Stephanie B. and Allie A. Ya’ll made this exciting experience even more fun, every step of the way.
If you feel so moved and have used NOSE BUTTER or RELAX pop over to Nordstrom website and leave us some love.
Thanks for being a part of my excitement.
As a business owner, I get a LOT of requests for guest blog posts. As I rule I don't do them for lots of reasons, but this one caught me eye. Maria, from Roto-Rooter, emailed and shared some info on their Pet Rescue program and I was all in!
