THREE CUTE PUPPIES NOSE BUTTER FOR YOUR DOG'S DRY NOSE

NOSE BUTTER® is the same recipe, the same formulation...the same good stuff inside, boo matter what label is on it. That said, we think all the dog breeds are FUN. Everybody we know loves looking at cute pics of dogs and puppies. So, we offer around 100 different dog breed labels. To be sure we have something for everyone we also offer our JUST A NOSE, MIXED BREED and 3CUTE PUPPIES labels.

Your dog's nose may be anywhere from a bit dry to covered with layers of crust, which can be a condition called Nasal Hyperkeratosis.  For more on Nasal Hyperkeratosis (click HERE). The good news is NOSE BUTTER® works for all levels of dog nose dryness and FAST!

YOUR DOG'S NOSE BRINGS MORE THAN JUST WHAT SOMETHING SMELLS LIKE

Your dog's moist nose is what grabs the smells and sends them onto the scent sorters in his nose. From there decisions can be made about how to react to situations and what to do next. A dry nose just can't get that scent capturing job done. Not only does a dry nose interfere with their sniffing ability, it can also lead to feelings of being unsettled, not having all the info needed.

NOSE BUTTER® smooths and nourishes your dog's nose with layers of healing butters and oils. Not only does he look much better with a smooth, shiny nose, he feels better physically, as he can breathe much more easily. Plus, your dog will feel more confident and self-assured when he's getting the info he needs.

  • QUICK TIPS ON HOW TO APPLY NOSE BUTTER FROM TIN AND TUBE

Lots of dogs love NOSE BUTTER time and sit quietly for their daily dab. Others…don’t. Just like some people love a foot massage and others don’t. Give lots of treats before, during and after NOSE BUTTER application and your dog will grow to tolerate the process.

    1. TIN Open tin and scoop a bit out with finger or spoon
    2. TUBE Open tube and point away from dog's eyes
    3. DAB on dog's nose
    4. DISTRACT to keep them from licking it off (give treat, feed dinner)
    5. REPEAT 2-3x daily for 1-3 days or until nose improves
    6. THEN USE AS NEEDED for maintenance (1-2x a week)
    7. TIP: Use a spoon to scoop a bit out of tin and warm in your palm before application, if needed
    8. TIP: Many dogs do not like being controlled tightly and will try to get away, apply FAST
    9. TIP: Flat faced dogs especially don't like having their faces messed with, dab and go. Bribe liberally!

  • NOSE BUTTER® INGREDIENTS ALL NATURAL GOOD STUFF QUICK LIST
    1. Each and every item we sell is individually handcrafted right here in far northern Minnesota by a member of my team and me (Kathy)
    2. SHEA BUTTER is known for its ability to moisturize skin and to help retain the elasticity of skin. Shea butter has also been known to help protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun while repairing cellular degeneration. Our shea butter is refined and deodorized without the use of harsh chemicals, allowing the shea butter to keep its amazing healing properties.
    3. COCOA SEED BUTTER softens at body temperature and adds a rich, creamy, thick consistency to our butters. Note: There is none of the active ingredient in dark chocolate in the Cocoa Seed Butter we use. So, no harm to your precious dog!
    4. ALMOND OIL is best known for its ability to soften, soothe, and re-condition the skin. It made from raw almond kernels and exceptionally rich in fatty acids.
    5. AVOCADO OIL is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A, D and E, plus, avocados can provide skin with deep moisture. The avocado oil penetrates the skin but is also thick enough to serve as a protective barrier.
    6. COCONUT OIL is a renowned general moisturizing oil and serves as a protective layer, helping to retain the moisture in your skin. It is great for inflamed and irritated skin, and those with skin sensitivities.
    7. CASTOR OIL is a hard, shiny oil that acts as a “barrier agent and protective medium against harsh conditions and extremes.” Note: There is none of the properties of the ricin that has been in the news (and Breaking Bad). The process that makes it oil eliminates that possibility.
    8. BEESWAX is a wonderful substance secreted by worker honeybees. Beeswax has a higher melting temperature, so it helps the various butters keep their shape and ship better
    9. OLIVE OIL plumps and moisturizes nose tissue with a combo of vitamin E and A. Dry, itchy skin is also often relieved by using olive oil.
    10. ESSENTIAL OILS We use a light dash of essential oils in the lightly scented version, more for the energetic properties rather than the scent, as we respect our dog’s sensitive sense of smell. The oils used are; Cedarwood for grounding, Cypress for connection to the earth and Ylang Ylang for stress reduction and happiness.
    11. SAFE FOR YOUR DOGS AND OURS My very un-legally worded official disclaimer: If you Google a bit you'll find histrionic website articles about "fill in the blank with virtually anything" being bad for you, your dog, the environment and baby unicorns. It's the nature of the world we live in. There are NO active ingredients in our products. NOSE BUTTER won't hurt your dog if they lick some off or each the whole tin. That said, they don't need the calories or all that concentrated fat, so put it away!
    12. Of course, there is the very slight possibility of an individual dog having an individual reaction to an individual ingredient. If your dog has any symptoms of irritation etc. after using any of our products, stop using them.

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS INFO

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS AKA CRUSTY CRUD, BARNACLE NOSE

Is your dog’s nose EXTREMELY dry? Does it look like barnacles are growing on it? Are there layers or chunks of crust that crack and bleed? If your dog’s nose could be described as  extremely dry, or looks like the BEFORE noses in the image above, it may be Nasal Hyperkeratosis. Rest assured, it is not caused by diet, genetics, playing in the dirt or anything you can control.

Nasodigital or Nasal Hyperkeratosis is an idiopathic condition, which means unknown cause ¯\(°_o)/¯ that is marked by the excessive formulation of nose crust that vets call keratin, (vet-speak for protein). It actually IS layers of skin tissue that has grown wild over on the nose. This condition isn't life-threatening and most veterinarians consider Nasal Hyperkeratosis cosmetic. But there are medical, cosmetic and mental health reasons that this dry nose condition can affect your dog's well being. It has to be uncomfortable for your dog. Your dog cannot breathe as easily. It’s unattractive, of course.

Most importantly, your dog is not getting the scents and smells they ned to feel secure and confident. A healthy moist nose snags good smells that float by and provide your dog with info. A dry nose is not going to capture the info packed smells. This can lead to frustration and a lack of self confidence. Your dog knows info is out there, but he cannot get it. Like us looking for a gas station in a sketchy neighborhood with ZERO bars on our phone. MORE INFO HERE.
