LEONBERGER NOSE BUTTER

leonberger

LEONBERGER NOSE BUTTER® SOOTHES, MOISTURIZES AND CONDITIONS YOUR BIG DOG'S BIG NOSE

Leonbergers are glorious, regal dogs. From their massive heads and magnificent coats to their easy confidence, they attract attention everywhere they go.

Like many of their big dog relatives, the Leo often suffers from a dry or crusty nose. Occasionally we see a Leonberger with Nasal Hyperkeratosis, which is an extremely dry nose, with tissue growing uncontrollably that cover the entire nose.

A BIT ABOUT YOUR LEONBERGER'S HISTORY

The Leonberger is thought to have been established around 1846 in Leonberg, Germany by German breeder Heinrich Essing. The Newfoundland, St. Bernard, and Great Pyrenees were used as his starting point (three of my favorite breeds, I admit). Heinrich Essing’s was striving to breed a dog which  looked like a lion, in honor of his town, Leonberg.

The regal Leonberger was sought after by royalty and the wealthy throughout Europe. Napoleon II of France, Empress Elizabeth of Austria, the Prince of Wales, Bismarck and Italian King Umberto are all said to have brought Leonbergers to their respective palaces and homes.

HOW LEONBERGER NOSE BUTTER® WORKS

NOSE BUTTER moisturizes and nourishes your LEO's nose with all natural and organic healing ingredients. It works in a layered manner, with the lighter oils soaking in first, then the heavier oils, followed by the heavy, opulent butters. This combination of ingredients is why one ingredient will help a bit for a little, but not to the level of the multi-layered NOSE BUTTER®.

Follow the directions included in your order and in just a few days your Leo's nose will be looking and feeling better. Then use NOSE BUTTER as needed for maintenance - usually 1-3 times a week.

Your LEONBERGER looks better, feels better and is more confident when his nose is working properly

NASAL HYPERKERATPSIS YOUR DOG'S EXTREMELY DRY NOSE

 NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS AKA CRUSTY CRUD, BARNACLE NOSE

Is your dog’s nose EXTREMELY dry? Does it look like barnacles are growing on it? Are there layers or chunks of crust that crack and bleed? If your dog’s nose looks like the BEFORE noses in the image above, it may be Nasal Hyperkeratosis. Rest assured, it is not caused by diet, genetics, playing in the dirt or anything you can control. And the good news is Nose Butter® works on it!

Nasodigital or Nasal Hyperkeratosis is an idiopathic condition, which means unknown cause ¯\(°_o)/¯ that causes excessive formulation of dry crust that vets call keratin, (vet-speak for protein). It actually IS layers of skin tissue that has grown wild over on the nose.

This condition isn't life-threatening and most veterinarians consider Nasal Hyperkeratosis cosmetic. But there are medical, cosmetic and mental health reasons that this dry nose condition can affect your dog's well being. It has to be uncomfortable for your dog. Your dog cannot breathe as easily. It’s unattractive, of course.

Most importantly, your dog is not getting the scents and smells they need to feel secure and confident. A healthy nose snags good smells that float by and provides your dog with info. A dry nose is not going to capture the info packed smells. This can lead to frustration and a lack of self confidence.

You know you feel when have NO SERVICE as you drive in an unfamiliar area? Probably frustrated, anxious and maybe terrified. Your dog experiences those same emotions when they can't get the info they need to make good dog decisions.
