DOGO ARGENTINO NOSE BUTTER® ALL NATURAL, HANDCRAFTED BALM MOISTURIZES YOUR DOG'S DRY NOSE

The Dogo Argentino is an impressive breed…the all white coat is eye-catching, but what really sets the Dogo apart is that aura of confidence they ooze.

Many Dogo's have dry nose issues, ranging from a bit of dryness to an extreme canine nasal dryness condition, Nasal Hyperkeratosis, in which the actual skin of the nose grows aggressively (a protein overgrowth) and creates layers or chunks of scab-like crust.

Dogo Argentino NOSE BUTTER® is packed full of the richest moisturizing butters and oils (all natural, of course) to control that frustrating dryness, no matter how extreme.

YOUR DOGO'S ABILITY TO UBER-SMELL IS HIS CANINE SUPERPOWER

The Dogo Argentino was initially bred for big-game hunting, especially wild boar. If you have watched much Discovery Channel, you KNOW wild boars are some of the meanest, most aggressive creatures on earth. Their fierce tusks can tear a man or Dogo apart with one toss of their head.

The early Dogo's main job was to find and hold the big game at bay…by whatever means was necessary.  A great nose was paramount to their success, that and a warrior's heart and fearlessness. They had to be able to catch the scent of the various animals and keep up with the game while they tore through the wild terrain in hot pursuit.

Your modern day Dogo can take one whiff of air and know the guy down the street is hiding in the garage and eating a Big Mac and fries (he's supposed to be watching his cholesterol), the cute little girl up the road has gotten into her mom’s most expensive perfume and now all her dolls and the cat smell great and the UPS guy has just turned into your neighborhood and he does not like coming to your house at all.  Yes, one quick whiff tells him all of that and MORE!

If your dog’s nose is rough and dry, he can’t capture all the info carrying smells he wants and needs. A healthy, moist dog nose is like scent grabbing flypaper. Scents float by and the dog nose moisture traps the smells in a special nasal compartment for your dog to process.

WHY HAVING A MOIST, HEALTHY NOSE IS IMPORTANT TO YOUR DOGO

Think of it like this...you're driving along a deserted unfamiliar highway, almost on E and glance at your phone. You don't even have one bar and then the dreaded NO SERVICE appears. You may not be white knuckle terrified (I would be), but you would probably be stressed and tense. Yep, your dog with a dry nose may feel like that all the time.

Dogo Argentino NOSE BUTTER® moisturizes and nourished the dry nose leather (technical term) of your dog’s nose. After a few days of NOSE BUTTER® usage your dog will not only look better, but feel better. Plus, getting all the info via their sense of smell, will put him more at ease. Your Dogo will be more secure, grounded and confident when he gets all the info he knows is available.

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS INFO

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS AKA CRUSTY CRUD, BARNACLE NOSE

Is your dog’s nose EXTREMELY dry? Does it look like barnacles are growing on it? Are there layers or chunks of crust that crack and bleed? If your dog’s nose could be described as  extremely dry, or looks like the BEFORE noses in the image above, it may be Nasal Hyperkeratosis. Rest assured, it is not caused by diet, genetics, playing in the dirt or anything you can control.

Nasodigital or Nasal Hyperkeratosis is an idiopathic condition, which means unknown cause ¯\(°_o)/¯ that is marked by the excessive formulation of nose crust that vets call keratin, (vet-speak for protein). It actually IS layers of skin tissue that has grown wild over on the nose. This condition isn't life-threatening and most veterinarians consider Nasal Hyperkeratosis cosmetic. But there are medical, cosmetic and mental health reasons that this dry nose condition can affect your dog's well being. It has to be uncomfortable for your dog. Your dog cannot breathe as easily. It’s unattractive, of course.

Most importantly, your dog is not getting the scents and smells they ned to feel secure and confident. A healthy moist nose snags good smells that float by and provide your dog with info. A dry nose is not going to capture the info packed smells. This can lead to frustration and a lack of self confidence. Your dog knows info is out there, but he cannot get it. Like us looking for a gas station in a sketchy neighborhood with ZERO bars on our phone. MORE INFO HERE.
