The good news is NOSE BUTTER® works for all levels of Brittany Spaniel nose dryness and FAST!

THE BRITTANY HAS BEEN A FAVE OF SPORTSMEN FOR CENTURIES

Since the mid-1800s the Brittany Spaniel has been a favorite of hunters the world over. Their medium size, happy personality and excellence in the field make them an idea sporting companion. The gentlemen in France who first bred the small, orange and white bob-tailed dogs searched for dogs of this type with a certain sets of skills; good nose for scenting birds, high energy to go all day, and a happy, even disposition to get along with other dogs in the pack and people.

While your Brittany may never see a bird in the field (or a field for that matter), he is still genetically predisposed to sniff to get info. All dogs use their nose for sniffing out the facts, but those bred to do a certain job even more so.

WHY A HEALTHY, MOIST NOSE IS SO IMPORTANT TO YOUR BRITTANY'S MENTAL & PHYSICAL HEALTH

If your Brittany's nose is rough, dry or even crusty they will struggle to capture the info floating on the breeze. In a healthy dog nose the moist surface grabs the scent particles and sends them to the various parts of your Brittany's brain dedicated to smell bookmarking (really!). Not only does a dry nose interfere with their sniffing ability, it can also lead to a feeling of being unsettled.

You know how it is when you point the remote at the tv and nothing happens. You move it around, you stand up and walk closer to the tv (why do we all do that?) and shake it...all in a vain attempt to get the connection/info we want. It's frustrating, isn't it? That is how your dog feels when he has a dry nose unable to get a connection with his environment.

NOSE BUTTER® smooths and nourishes your Brittany Spaniel's nose with layers of healing butters and oils. Not only does he look much better with a smooth, shiny nose, he feels better physically, as he can breathe much more easily. Plus, your Brittany will feel more confident and self-assured when he's getting the info.

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS INFO

NASAL HYPERKERATOSIS AKA CRUSTY CRUD, BARNACLE NOSE

Is your dog’s nose EXTREMELY dry? Does it look like barnacles are growing on it? Are there layers or chunks of crust that crack and bleed? If your dog’s nose could be described as  extremely dry, or looks like the BEFORE noses in the image above, it may be Nasal Hyperkeratosis. Rest assured, it is not caused by diet, genetics, playing in the dirt or anything you can control.

Nasodigital or Nasal Hyperkeratosis is an idiopathic condition, which means unknown cause ¯\(°_o)/¯ that is marked by the excessive formulation of nose crust that vets call keratin, (vet-speak for protein). It actually IS layers of skin tissue that has grown wild over on the nose. This condition isn't life-threatening and most veterinarians consider Nasal Hyperkeratosis cosmetic. But there are medical, cosmetic and mental health reasons that this dry nose condition can affect your dog's well being. It has to be uncomfortable for your dog. Your dog cannot breathe as easily. It’s unattractive, of course.

Most importantly, your dog is not getting the scents and smells they ned to feel secure and confident. A healthy moist nose snags good smells that float by and provide your dog with info. A dry nose is not going to capture the info packed smells. This can lead to frustration and a lack of self confidence. Your dog knows info is out there, but he cannot get it.
