English Toy Spaniel Nose Butter® Moisturizing Balm For Your English Toy's Dry Nose
English Toy Spaniels are lovely little dogs – jaunty, loving and delightful to live with (we share our lives with GIO, the black & tan pictured above). Like their cousin, the Cavalier, the English Toy Spaniel often has rough, dry nose problems. If your ETS has a crust covered, extremely dry nose it may be Nasal Hyperkeratosis, a condition in which nose tissue grows aggressively. (See the ETS in image below & in product photos). The good news is all of these dry nose problems can be treated and a healthy balance maintained with routine Nose Butter usage.
Your English Toy Spaniel's Healthy Nose
Our English Toy Spaniels descend from royal spaniels bred to leap after birds in the field and forest. While your English Toy may never chase a bird in his life, he does have the genetics of those long ago spaniels hardwired in his DNA. He will still stick his little nose into the air to sniff the doggie info that floats his way.
If his nose is dry, info gathering is inhibited. With a healthy, smooth nose Your English Toy Spaniel will look and feel better. With a healthy nose your ETS can capture the scented info and may even be a wee bit more confident.
Using Your English Toy Spaniel's Nose Butter
Dab, Distract, Done! works for the majority of dogs. Most flat-faced dogs and many toy dogs don't like having their faces messed with and loathe being tightly controlled. Their breathing is already compromised and nature is telling them to protect that. My ETS Gio twists and flips like a Cirque de Soleil performer, when we apply his Nose Butter. I tell him he's an embarrassment to our business.
