Nose Butter® Moisturizing Goodness For Your Chesapeake Bay Retriever's Dry Nose
A moist, healthy nose is vital to your dog's effective canine info gathering. Your Chessie's healthy nose acts like flypaper, as the juicy smells stick to the moist surface and are then processed via their powerful scent glands. Plus, a dry, crusty nose looks awful and has to be uncomfortable for your Chesapeake Bay Retriever!
Your Chessie's Dry Nose
Many dogs in the Retriever family have problems with dry noses. Your Chesapeake Bay Retriever's dry nose may range from just a bit dry to the more extreme version - Nasal Hyperkeratosis. If your dog's nose has thick layers of crust that are cracked and resemble barnacles (like the noses below) they may have this condition.
Nasal Hyperkeratosis is a condition of unknown causes that has no known cure. Don't worry though, there is GOOD NEW, you can keep it under control with ongoing usage of Nose Butter. Once you have your dog's nose back in shape you can drop down to a maintenance schedule.
Maintenance application can range from daily to every week or so. Nose Butter can heal the dry nose, but can't cure the Nasal Hyperkeratosis, is how we think of it.
