Every time your dog hits elbows first on the concrete, tile, deck, or dirt the callus thickens as the overprotective ulna bone tries to protect the elbow. So far, so good. It’s mostly helped on his elbows where the calluses were just beginning. We’re still working on the ones on his back leg, which are harder :)
My almost 3 year old German Shepherd has severe allergies to things in the environment and some foods. She started to develop calluses on her elbows and I was really worried they would get worse. I am happy to say she actually has hair growing back! Love this product, so happy to have found it.

My dog has been itching his front elbows with his back feet until they bleed for over a year. We’ve tried multiple rounds of steroidal ointment from our vet with only minor improvement. Once we stop the ointment the itching starts again. I saw Blissful Dog on an internet ad and, after some research, liked their all-natural approach and decided to give them a try. We’ve been using the elbow butter for about a week and it is amazing. Maverick had huge bleeding bald spots for elbows and now they’re almost fully healed - and the fur is growing back! I’ve just ordered another (larger) tin of the elbow butter. I was skeptical at first but now I’m a believer. Thank you Blissful Dog for making my dog feel blissful!
Thank you, thank you! While I love all the reviews we get, I especially love when someone shares they were skeptical. Hey, I don't blame you, I probably would be also. The fur growing back is the tough part, as sometimes the coat/hair follicles are traumatized and it never grows back. Maverick is lucky that you caught it early enough.

My lab’s elbow callouses were awful: cracked, bleeding, and I’m sure he was uncomfortable. But after using the elbow butter for a little over a week, they’ve improved drastically! They no longer crack and bleed, the callouses are soft. They are also smaller and his fur is growing back. I’m just sorry I didn’t take a “before” picture.

I have two large labs and they lay on concrete all the time as it is hot here and the concrete is cool. Both dogs elbows had got calluses and loss of hair and looked really bad. I got this elbow butter not even a week ago and already the one of the dogs you can’t even see anything but fur. The other is a lot better but I still need to use the butter. At first the. Dogs wanted to lick the butter off but I stayed with them a while and distracted them and they forgot about any licking. I was at the point of taking them to the vet when I ordered this butter because I didn’t realize it was them laying on concrete. This is an amazing product. Would buy again.

Gus, a 105 lb chocolate lab (he was 140!) is a rescue and came to us with really bad elbows and calluses on his paws. He used to wake us up licking his paws and elbows. In just over a week he's already sleeping better! His elbows aren't as puffy or hot!! I'll post pics when I see more of a difference, but so glad he's feeling better! He also had a bacterial bump on his chin that is looking better and he's not scratching at.
