Does Your Pomeranian Have a Rough, Dry or Even Crusty Nose?
Pomeranians Reign Supreme as Best Friends
Pomeranians are delightful, beautiful companions. Their jaunty gait, smiling face and utter and complete self-confidence makes you want to swoop them up and cuddle them! No wonder they are so popular.
Pomeranian Factoid: Did you know two Pomeranians are called a "Puff" and a group of three or more are called a "Tuft." We are gob-smacked into silence by this piece of information.
2nd Pom Factoid: Pomeranians are thought to have originated in Iceland. But it wasn't until they reached Germany and were bred to be smaller that they began to look more like what we know as Poms. In a small NE region called Pomerania, breeders began the job of breeding for smaller dogs. When Queen Victoria fell in love with Poms in the late 1800s they were then bred to the diminutive size they are now.
Your Pomeranian's Dry Nose
Like many other toy dog breeds, Pomeranians often have issues with dry or even crusty noses. While your Pomeranian may have a bit of regular dryness on their nose, if it is crusty or looks like an oyster shell, your Pom may have a condition called nasal hyperkeratosis (see before and after image below). While there is no cure for nasal hyperkeratosis, Nose Butter, when used as directed, will condition your Pom's nose and keep it healthy. Hint - The key is the maintenance program.
Nose Butter® moisturizes and soothes your Pom's dry nose. This allows your Pomeranian to sniff and get the dog news that is floating by, which makes for a happier, more confident dog. Plus, your Pom can breathe more freely without having dry crust covering their nose. Your Pom feels better mentally, emotionally and physically with a healthy nose.
