Mastiffs are the regal kings of the dog world. Imposing, stately, brave, and massive, yes MASSIVE. Mastiff Factoid: For thousands of years Mastiffs were bred to guard and protect their people, whether their people were warriors, kings, or a family in a subdivision. Many years ago that gladiator fighting spirit was toned down to make today's Mastiff a true gentle giant.
Unfortunately, like many giant breed dogs, Mastiffs often have a dry or even crusty nose. Mastiffs can also develop an extremely dry nose condition, Nasal Hyperkeratosis, in which the nose tissue grows uncontrollably and covers the nose in layers of scab-like crust. This has to be uncomfortable AND it is unattractive. The good news is Nose Butter handles all levels of Mastiff nose dryness. Nasal Hyperkeratosis seems to be a condition of extremes; extremely large, extremely small, extremely bully, extremely flat-faced. Most breeds that present with this condition more frequently are extreme in some manner.
