Tibetan Spaniel's were bred to sound an alert if any intruders, man or beast, approached the Tibetan monasteries of ancient Tibet. These quick little dogs would scamper out, bark like crazy and dash back amongst the cracks and crevices of the mountains. That requires a certain amount of courage and your Tibbie probably has that in abundance, not to mention one heckuva sense of balance.
But let a storm roll in and the thunder begin and your watch dog Tibbie is one trembling, terrified puppy. The most common fear triggers for our dogs are thunderstorms, fireworks, being separated from their people, travel, and strangers. Did you know the #1 phobia for people is...Spiders?
