Your Biewer knows they are adored and carry themselves with a certain amount of swagger and pluck. But let the fireworks begin or a thunderstorm boom and your cocky little Biewer is shaking from head to tail and scared.
Just as humans can have panic-inducing triggers, such as spiders, snakes, public speaking, heights, and heinous, terrifying mice, so can our dogs. Thunderstorms, fireworks, and being alone are the top three fear triggers for dogs.
FYI - More dogs are lost on the 4th of July in the USA, due to fireworks-induced panic, than any other day of the year.
