Does Your Alaskan Malamute Have a Dry or Rough Nose?

First, a bit of Alaskan Malamute history. Their name came from the Mahlemuts, an Inuit tribe that settled in northwestern Alaska. Alaskan Malamute Dry Noses...What Causes It? What Can You Do?

On to modern-day Alaskan Malamutes! Like many of their Nordic and mastiff-type relatives, the Mal often suffers from a dry or crusty nose. Basic dry noses can be caused by a dry climate, lack of humidity in the air, and, to a degree, breed disposition. Nasal Hyperkeratosis is a condition of unknown origin that can be controlled but not cured. That's where Nose Butter® gets to work!
