Everything Blissful For Your Bullmastiff

Your Bullmastiff Looking & Feeling Their Blissful Best

Of course, we are all about making life easier and if we can put everything you need for your Bullmastiff on one page - well, here ya go!

Like many of the Bully and Mastiff breeds, Bullmastiffs have a predisposition toward having a rough, dry nose. They are also more prone to elbow calluses, due to their dense body type and close coat. Nose Butter and Elbow Butter will fix that right up!

In the Middle Ages, Mastiffs charged into battle wearing armor and carrying pots of flaming sulphur and resin with spikes sticking out. The mental picture of that is pretty intense!

There are a few fun Bullmastiff tidbits below and here is an article I wrote on one of my dog breed crushes...the Bullmastiff.

A Few Random Bullmastiff Factoids

  1. Did you know the original Bullmastiff's job was to catch and hold poachers? They were known for doing just that...catching and holding and NOT attacking. I have a mental picture of a Bullmastiff sitting on some poor guy clutching a poached rabbit.
  2. Did you know Brindle was the preferred Bullmastiff color at first? The brindle Bullmastiffs blended in better with the forest shadows at night. Better to sneak up on that dude with the poached rabbit...
  3. Did you know Bullmastiffs are velcro dogs? They love to always be touching you - leaning against your leg, draping a paw across your foot or in your lap if you'd let them!
  4. Did you know Bullmastiffs are supposed to be 60% Mastiff and 40% Bulldog?
