The actual AKC registered breed name is Brittany, not Brittany Spaniel, as Spaniel technically flush birds from brush and thicket and the Brittany does not do that. But it is hard to break the habit of hundreds of years of calling a breed a certain name.
For our purposes as an ecommerce shop, if a customer Googled "Brittany" you would only find a certain pop star in your search if we didn't use Brittany Spaniel or Dog. Our apologies for the random incorrect usage.
