YOUR DOG'S ROOT CHAKRA

JOURNEY THROUGH YOUR DOG'S CHAKRA SYSTEM

Now we begin our journey through each of the chakras found in your dog's chakra system. There are seven universally agreed upon chakras (as much as anything is agreed upon). Plus, our dogs have additional chakras that are as important to them as the seven main chakras. These chakras are the Nose Chakra, Ear Chakra, Paw Chakra and Tail Chakra. Obviously a dog's nose chakra is a very important energy center, as so much of their info comes via their sense of smell.

THE CANINE ROOT CHAKRA

If the Root Chakra is balanced, open and in sync, your dog should feel safe, secure and grounded. This dog usually gets along well with everyone, human or canine, and is a pleasure to meet.  An under-active Root Chakra may cause your dog to be afraid of everything, timid, fearful or nervous. An over-active Root Chakra may create a greedy dog, one who guards their toys, food bowl or crate area. They may seem unsure and change often upsets them.

ROOT CHAKRA

  • Crystal: Carnelian, red jasper, garnet, ruby (for energy) and hematite (for grounding)
  • Energy: Feeling at home, comfortable being a dog, grounded

DOG WITH BALANCED ROOT CHAKRA

  • Feels safe & secure
  • Grounded
  • Trusts People
  • Confident
  • Enjoys being themselves

DOG WITH UNDERACTIVE ROOT CHAKRA

  • Fearful
  • Nervous
  • Tense
  • Timid
  • High Strung

DOG WITH OVERACTIVE ROOT CHAKRA

  • Guards toys, food bowl or their person
  • Greedy
  • Over-reacts
  • Doesn't like change
  • Goes on offensive first

Are you seeing some of your dog in any of these categories? Keep in mind that life is in flux and your dog may be a bit over or under balanced from one day to the next. Think of your dog's root chakra in general terms...how they usually are. Their core personality.
