The Blissful Dog Now Offers FREE Insurance and Real Time Premium Tracking
The Blissful Dog is proud to partner with Route, the leader in package protection and tracking solutions.
As another example of us going the extra dog mile (which is like seven in regular miles), there will be no charge for this premium service.
One of the very few things that I have not enjoyed, besides paying taxes, since launching The Blissful Dog in 2002 was having customer call or email asking, “Where is my stuff?” It makes us feel like we let you down, eve though it was the carrier's fault. The normal carrier insurance just did not work for us and so we kept looking for a good match.
After much searching we were delighted to find Route. Now every order placed through The Blissful Dog store will receive premium package tracking services from Route and insurance. (order must be purchased on The Blissful Dog website, we cannot insure orders made via Etsy, eBay, Amazon etc.).
You will checkout and pay as always. The only difference is you will receive two order confirmation emails, one from us and one from ROUTE.
There are two ways to utilize the premium tracking and insurance.
#1] Download the Route App HERE or from the email you will receive from Route. Route allows you to keep tabs on your package, monitor shipping progress with push notifications and keep track of all your online orders (not just ours) all in one place!
#2] Follow the link in the email you get from ROUTE when you checkout. You will activate everything from there.
We DO need an email address or cell-phone number to provide this to you!
#3] Not an App Person? No worries! Visit https://claims.route.com/ to submit and resolve claims. You can also use the tracking number from your email to check the status of your order with the carrier (USPS, UPS or FedEx) at any time. Also, here is a link to the Route Customer FAQs.

* Details - *Domestic claims are eligible to be filed within 30 days from when the item shipped; International: 45 days.
Claims for packages marked "delivered" must be filed after 5 days and before 15 days from the date the package was marked "delivered."
Claims for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not "delivered") must be filed after 7 (20 for international) days and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.
In the unfortunate event that your order never arrives or is smashed/broken/stomped/wreaked havoc upon when it arrives, you can easily file a claim with Route and receive a replacement or be fully reimbursed. Your choice.
