Kathy Dannel Vitcak ~ Author The French Bulldog Book

Growing up in Mississippi, I was the stereotypical bookworm-thick gasses, braces, and my nose always buried in a book. There are a lot of you out there who I know are nodding and smiling in agreement! Books, magazines and now, the internet, keep me busy, connected and energized. I never dreamed that someday I would be an author of more than one French Bulldog book!

For years I did design, layout and production for a couple of different French Bulldog magazines and I so enjoyed being immersed in all things Frenchie. Maybe not the most balanced of lifestyles, but it was fun. I was a member of the DWAA Dog Writer’s Association of America and actually had a couple of articles I wrote over the years nominated for awards. I swear by the “being nominated is honor enough” hahaha. Do you agree with me on that one?

Here are a few of the magazines I have been interviewed and quoted in…Dog World, Dog Fancy, Dogs in Review, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, and French Bulldogs Magazine. If I can find those magazines I will scan the articles in for you to enjoy.

I also have had a wonderful book published for the new Frenchie owner, The French Bulldog, available at amazon.com, just click on link to the right> or your favorite bookseller. When I wrote that French Bulldog book I had no idea that it would be in print over ten years later and now on Kindle.

A few years ago I also self-published The French Bulldog International Annual. It was an exciting learning process! I will look and see if I can find some copies of that French Bulldog Book to offer for sale. It is quite the collectors item now!
